Cameron Alexander Livingstone


Cameron commenced his career at sea as a young teenager, and progressed from the aft deck of fishing vessels to the, to the Ops Room of Royal Australian Naval warships, to the Navigation Bride of LNG Supertankers.

After a career at sea spanning 14 years and dozens of vessel types, Cameron came ashore in 2018 and requalified as a maritime lawyer. Cameron has practiced in underwriting, claims, and legal advisory roles in large international marine insurers like Allianz Australia and Gard AS in Norway. Cameron is currently practicing as in-house legal counsel in energy trading in Dubai.

Cameron holds degrees in Nautical Science and Law, and retains close links to technical and operational seafaring.  Cameron is a Delegate of the International Maritime Organization in London, the Vice Chair of The Nautical Institute Professional Development Committee, the Secretary of the Emirates Maritime Law Association, the Legal & Compliance Manager of the UAE Branch of the Nautical Institute, and retains an advisory role to a Member of the Commonwealth Parliament of Australia.
